Simple Lighting Tutorials!

This week there have been a few great simple lighting tutorials online. If you want to make your photos really shine or you're exploring the capabilities of your flashes, you should really check them out!

1st - LIME - Hats off to Bert Stephani and Pieter Van Impe for their new blog called LIME. I can't wait to see more video tutorials from them. To see a simple shoot that Bert did with two lights check out this link

2nd - Layers Magazine - RC Concepcion and friends over at Layers Magazine have always been a great resource for tutorials. This week, Jean Francois Okane brings us a cool tutorial showing how to use 7 different lighting positions with one light(two at most). Check that tutorial out here

Off topic: Michael Reichmann over at Luminous Landscape has some great reviews on the Hyperdrive Colorspace UDMA and LensAlign. The Hyperdrive is a portable device that allows you to view and backup your photos while in the field without the need for a laptop. The LensAlign is a cool device that allows you to correct your lenses if they are back/front focusing and giving you out of focus pictures. One thing I hate is misfocusing...I just wish I had a camera that had micro-lens adjustment :(. Both are pretty cool devices that would make for great Christmas presents :)
